About your local

Meet Mia

I moved to Chengdu for university and fell for the pace of the city—tea houses at 10am, mahjong under the trees, dinners that stretch until midnight.

I studied English literature at Sichuan University and later trained as a tea sommelier. Guiding started as weekend work with visiting friends and became my full-time job in 2017.

Over 250 trips later, I still love the moment guests taste their first proper mapo tofu, or realize a Chengdu afternoon can just mean sitting under bamboo with a cup of tea and nowhere to be.

My idea of a great day

Tea in People's Park, a market wander, lunch selected by your spice comfort level, and an afternoon following whichever lane, craft shop, or café feels interesting.

  1. Tea at People's Park

Bamboo-leaf tea at my regular spot while the park comes to life.

  2. Market wander and street snacks

A nearby market and street snacks, dialed to your spice comfort.

  3. Lunch and a slow afternoon

Family lunch, then a slow drift through whichever lane or café pulls you in.

Nothing is fixed—we shape the day around you.
